During the first half of 2025, MILA worked with Parent Zone to provide evaluation expertise and guidance for a collaborative media literacy intervention developed by YouTube and the Poynter Institute in partnership with Parent Zone. Further details here.
Building on the literature review below, MILA commissioned research to produce a comprehensive review of recent research about information literacy and society. The report from the project, published in November 2023, is here.
May 2023 saw the successful completion of Evaluating Media Literacy with a Theory of Change. This project, funded by the UK government and led by the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice at Bournemouth University, was undertaken in association with MILA. It enabled the elaboration of a robust evaluation framework for measuring the impact of media literacy interventions. Further details here.
